Provides individual and shared-ride van service for all registered paratransit riders, as well as, discount taxi services for a limited group of clients. Paratransit service is provided for those whose disability prevents them from using public transportation. This can include being unable to get on and off a bus; unable to walk two blocks; unable to stand and wait more than 15 minutes; to grasp coins, tickets or handles; and unable to read or understand transit schedules due to a developmental disability or blindness. Application form must be completed in full, is available by mail or online. There is a 21-day waiting period for processing applications.
