Safe at Home is a year-round program that provides low-income elderly and disabled San Franciscans free light home repair and modification services designed to allow them to live more safely and more independently in their homes. If you do not own your own home, your landlord must give written permission before any work can be done. To receive an application, you may download one from their website or call their office and ask to have one mailed or faxed to you. Once an application has been received, it can take from 1-3 months to receive services because most of their work is done by volunteers.
