The Castro Senior Center is located in Ellard Hall at Most Holy Redeemer Church in the heart of the Castro district of San Francisco. Since 1980 the Castro Senior Center (formerly Diamond Senior Center) has been part of the neighborhood serving local residents as well as members of the larger San Francisco community. Services and programs are available to all individuals age 60 and above and persons with disabilities.

The following list is a sample of their free weekly activities:
-A range of daily exercise programs including, aerobics and general strength building provided through the Always Active Program
-Yoga and Tai Chi Classes
-Free Health Assessments through the University of San Francisco School of Nursing
-Social clubs including: Current Events, Book Club and Camera Club
-Film and Music programs
-Day Trips and access to a wide range of free community events through Community Access Tickets Service
-LGBT discussion group and special presentations (see the flier)
-Computer Tutoring
-Bingo
-Weekly Flea Market
-Theater and Dance groups
