The Pomeroy Center is a community center providing accessible facilities to all members of the community, especially those with developmental disabilities and traumatic and acquired brain injuries, including adults, children, teens, and seniors. The mission of Pomeroy Recreation and Rehabilitation Center is to provide recreational, vocational and educational opportunities for people with disabilities through programs and services that encourage self-expression, promote personal achievement, and lead to greater independence. They offer adult day programs, a heated therapeutic pool, aquatic exercise classes, and overnight respite care for 8 adults each weekend. Individuals with a developmental disability can apply for funding through the Golden Gate Regional Center.
