Anyone can make a confidential or anonymous report if they suspect that an older adult or a person with a disability who lives in San Francisco is experiencing abuse or self-neglect. The 24-hour hotline is staffed by social workers who respond to calls and utilize assessment tools to determine an appropriate response. If necessary, APS will conduct a home visit on an emergency basis to determine what services may be needed.
