Become a Mentor:

The most important qualification for a Mentor is to want to help Consumers effectively navigate the IHSS system and to support them in maintaining their independence in the community of their choice. Mentors achieve this by coaching Consumers through finding, hiring and working with their Provider of choice and assisting Consumers in connecting with other services that help them meet other essential needs.

Independent Provider Support Associate Posted on May 16, 2019

The Independent Provider Support Associate reports directly to the Director of Finance and Operations. This position provides an array of supportive and administrative support activities to In-Home Supportive Service (IHSS) Independent Providers (IP). This includes attending and presenting at orientations for all newly enrolled IP applicants and conducting follow-up interviews with select applicants, being responsible for receiving, organizing and maintaining IP supplies and generating ID cards and promoting the Public Authority’s various programs and training opportunities for new IPs. This position will also be responsible for the rolling of fingerprints and assisting with Department of Justice (DOJ) criminal record results review for IP applicants for IHSS..
